Approaches to Designing and Examples of Digital Circuits Based on the Current-Mode Gates

چکیده

The paper deals with the problem of designing digital circuits with the currentmode gates novel digital gates operating with constant, continuous power supply current. The purpose is the provision of a high level of noise immunity of the chips which compose both analog and digital circuits. The logical properties of the current-mode gates and logic (algebra) are investigated, which are a base the proposed approaches to minimization of logic functions. Details of the proposed approaches are illustrated on the examples of several current-mode digital circuits designs. The obtained circuits are characterized by smaller (up to 35%) hardware overheads in comparison with the similar circuits based on the classical voltage type gates.
